Tears Of Mankind
2008 - Silent Veil Of My Doom

Tears of Mankind is a one-man project from Russia. It is common that the good doom metal bands spring from England (My Dying Bride, Paradise Lost, Anathema), but there are doom metal pearls finding place also in Russia. No doubt about that there is an influance from the previously mentioned bands, classic remains classic and the pioneer style is senseble in any other style, but the essential part in the case of Tears Of Mankind is that even a single man can build up his music to the necesarry and unreplaceable hights of minor sounding pulse. In this record every doom metal freak will find everything that is needed to enlighten (depress?) the fans of this style. Slow, flowing melodies, sorrowful and clear vocals, atmospheric synths and melancholic guitar houlings are the elements which base Tears Of Mankind. The music is not all the same, rich variation of riffs create different spectrums. The sound is very clear and clean. I could just ask for a little more liveliness in the sound of programmed drums, the one in this album seems to be too stiff and without expression.
Album contains 9 long compositions, but the perfection of the atmosphere that it creates makes the listener not want to turn off the stereo for a second. It is prooven - also a single man is able to create strong tunes, it is up to us to just enjoy it.
