Biography:
The project was started in spring 2003 by Letarg. Its primary name was Forest of Pain. At that time the music of the project was atmospheric
dark wave with usage of acoustic guitar. In June 2003 the EP Cathedral Voices, which now is unfortunately lost, was recorded. In autumn of the same year the project was renamed into Letargy Dream and two guest musicians, Konstantin and Absient, joined it. In december 2003 Letargy Dream recorded a 30-minute instrumental demo album named Breath of Deceased. The music of the project started to change: elements of
doom-metal appeared in it, but atmosphere created by keyboards still remained the base of its music. Year 2004 was marked by recording of
instrumental EP Ambit of Dreams. In this recording Crawler, the guitar player of a legendary progressive-death band Beheaded Zombie, took part, as a result the music turned out to be more agressive, but it remained melodic. Keyboards still dominated in the music. 2005 - recording of demo album "Sleep in Peace..." On the whole the music on this album presented atmosperic-metal with some gothic elements. Russian lyrics and several types of male-vocals were used. In spring 2006 "Fragments of Memory" album was recorded. The sound changes completely: the tempo of the songs was slowed down, both growlings and recitating clean vocals were used. Letargy Dream started playing atmospheric doom-death, but without giving up using keyboards. At that time due to musical discords Konstantin and Absient left the project, and as a result Letargy Dream became one-man band. In autumn 2006 the project was noticed by Russian doom-metal label Solitude Productions and in winter 2006 "Fragments of Memory" was released by a division of Solitude Productions - BadMoodMan
